J MAC, AN INSPIRING HOOPSTER

J MAC, AN INSPIRING HOOPSTER
this is j mac. he has autism, a disease that gave him learning disabilities. but that doesn't stop him from dreaming. he is a manager for a boy's varsity basketball team in rochester, new york. he had never played in a game until a while ago. the coach put him in with four minutes and nineteen seconds left in the game. during this short period of time, this disabled seventeen year old made twenty points, most of them three pointers. if that's not inspiring, i don't know what is! the coach prayed hard that this boy would make a shot. his prayers were answered. this boy brings hope to us all. he never gave up and he knew he could do it. he was on fire.

STEVE NASH, BEST PLAYER EVER

STEVE NASH, BEST PLAYER EVER
This is Steve Nash. He started playing basketball in eigth grade and said to his mom that this is what wanted to do. he started out as a soccer player, and was offered a spot on Canada's National team, but he turned it down. He wanted to be a hoopster, and he acheived that goal. It took time and patience, because he was rejected by many colleges. But eventually, by setting short term goals, he acheived long term goals. He is one of my role models because he didn't give up. He is a great player.

BASKETBALL, WHAT IT MEANS TO ME

Basketball is the breath to my lips.
Basketball is the jump to my step.
Basketball gets me up in the morning,
and it helps me fall asleep at night.
When I swish a basketball, I am alive.

BASKETBALL IS WHERE IT'S AT!!!!

BASKETBALL QUOTE OF THE DAY:
